Duncan Wade, CIM, PFP

Senior Portfolio Manager

As a Senior Portfolio Manager, Duncan specializes in portfolio analysis & design, and wealth management.  His investment system is executed with the ultimate goal of protecting and enhancing retirement assets. He has appeared as a guest speaker on the topic of portfolio management for numerous groups in Edmonton and surrounding areas, and has been interviewed as a financial advisor on local television shows.


Duncan has been a fully licensed Investment Advisor since 1994. Other courses & designations include: Portfolio Manager, Options Licensing and Derivatives Fundamentals, Canadian Securities Course, Conduct and Practices Handbook, Canadian Investment Management, Professional Financial Planning, Branch Managers Exam, Securities Law and Regulation course and the Securities Ethics and Standard of Conduct course. 

Nicola Wade, B. Comm.

Senior Investment Associate

Nicky has over 20 years of experience in the investment industry.  She began her career in 1992 after graduating from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Commerce degree.  She has been with Canaccord Wealth Management since 2002.  Building and sustaining long-lasting client relationships is what Nicky values most about her career.  She takes pride in being able to give clients peace of mind in knowing that they’re meeting their financial and retirement goals.  Nicky has been fully licensed for 17 years.  

Nicky and Duncan are proud parents of two beautiful girls, Jenna & Avery.  She enjoys spending time at the lake in the summer and staying active with her family throughout the year.

Thelma Weizenbach

Senior Investment Associate

Thelma has over 36 years of combined experience in the financial services industry. Prior to her employment with Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management, Thelma spent over 20 years at the Royal Bank in various positions from bank teller to Personal Banking Representative in the Private Banking department. Thelma joined Sanders Wealth Management in August of 2000 to assist the company’s President in advising and servicing his clients.  She was also actively involved in managing the day to day operations of the firm. Thelma completed her mutual fund course while at the bank and then became securities licensed in 2001.  She joined Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management in September 2009.

Outside of the office, Thelma enjoys watching her grandson play hockey in the winter and boating & golf in the summer.  Her greatest joy is spending time with her four grandchildren.

Wendy Hildebrandt

Senior Investment Advisor Assistant

Wendy has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Wendy began her career working at the Royal Bank in various departments including Foreign Exchange, Private Banking, Client Service, Administration, and Management.


Wendy joined Canaccord in 2009, assisting Duncan for the past seven years by providing customer service & support to our many valued clients. She has recently completed her Canadian Securities Course and is now licensed to process security transactions.  Wendy enjoys the many challenges of her job, but one of the highlights of her position is working directly with clients.

Jeff Haggerty, CFP, CLU, FMA

Jeff started his career in financial planning over 15 years ago. Over the last 10 years, he has focused on comprehensive planning for the complex needs of high net worth individuals, including business owners, professionals, and farmers.


Jeff has also worked with many families on retirement needs analysis, and can review pension options, consult on drawing down on investments tax efficiently, and explain how government benefits work. Jeff assists our clients with retirement income, estate preservation and protection, taxation and investment strategies, as well as business and farm succession planning. He also provides consultation on unique situations like US estate tax obligations, reviewing buy-sell arrangements for businesses to ensure adequate funding, and assessing risk for wealth protection.
